School Leaders in the Asian Century: India Study Program

6 to 20 January 2014
This program provides an opportunity for Australian and Indian school leaders to come together to exchange professional experiences and expertise.  The program is designed and delivered by AEF and aims to develop Australian school leaders’ ability to lead Asia literate schools.

Focused around Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, the program enables Australian school leaders to experience northern India and gain insights into this dynamic country. School leaders will be partnered with an Indian school and participate in a school visit and homestay program. This provides the opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of India’s education system and build personal and professional relationships that support school partnerships.

This program builds the capacity of school leaders to implement Asia and Australia’s engagement with Asia cross-curriculum priority and the Intercultural understanding general capability of the Australian Curriculum.
